This policy explains what we collect when you visit nine.is, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We don't sell your data. Never have, never will.
Effective date
This policy is effective as of May 10, 2026.
What we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. Practically, that means three buckets:
- Contact information you give us through forms on the site — name, email, and optionally your company and a message.
- Usage data about how the site is used — pages visited, referrer, browser, device, approximate location. Standard analytics signals, nothing tied to your identity unless you've also submitted a form.
- IP address for the live agent demos at /agents. We use it solely to rate-limit demo runs (five runs per fifteen minutes) so the service stays available for everyone.
How we use it
Information you give us is used for the obvious reasons — to reply to you, scope work, and run the service you asked for. Specifically:
- To respond to inquiries and follow up on engagement requests.
- To improve the site — what's resonating, what's broken, what's slow.
- To send occasional updates only if you've explicitly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send.
- To operate the agent demos and prevent abuse.
Cookies and tracking
We use first-party analytics cookies to understand site usage in aggregate. We don't run third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or cross-site behavioral profiling on this site by default.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser. The site will still work — you'll just be anonymous to our analytics.
Third parties we share data with
We use a small set of well-known service providers to run the site and the business. Each receives only the data it needs to do its job:
- Google Analytics — aggregated usage data about how nine.is is used.
- HubSpot — our CRM. Information submitted through contact and lead-gen forms is stored here so we can follow up.
- Stripe — payment processing for clients with active engagements. Stripe handles card data directly; we don't store payment card numbers.
- Anthropic — when you trigger a live agent demo at /agents, your IP and the demo identifier hit our server, which then proxies the request to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the response.
- Cal.com — booking platform used when you schedule a call with us.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Your rights
Regardless of where you live, we'll honor reasonable requests to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that's inaccurate.
- Delete your information, subject to legal retention obligations described below.
- Opt out of any marketing communications.
If you're a California resident, you have the rights granted under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information (we don't do either, but the right exists). If you're in the EU or UK, we'll honor the equivalent rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@nine.is.
Data retention
We keep contact information for as long as we have an active relationship with you, and for up to seven years afterward to satisfy legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Aggregated analytics data is retained on a rolling basis according to our analytics provider's defaults.
Children
nine.is is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged more clearly — typically by a banner on the site or, if you've given us your email, a direct note.
How to contact us
Questions, requests, or concerns about this policy or your data: email hello@nine.is. We read everything that lands there and we respond.
