Worlds of Work (WOW) is a nationally recognized, immersive career exploration event based in West Alabama, designed to introduce over 4,000 ninth-grade students to a wide array of high-demand career pathways. Hosted annually at Shelton State Community College, WOW brings together hundreds of industry professionals who provide hands-on demonstrations, allowing students to engage directly with various professions. The event covers multiple sectors, including agriculture, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, and public safety, among others. By facilitating these interactive experiences, WOW aims to inspire students and educators, addressing regional workforce needs and helping to build a skilled future workforce.
